The winter is closing in so maybe a cozy pub is in order - fortunately Bath has lots to choose from. To keep things simple lets meet at the Lambretta Bar[1] on North Parade at 7pm - this is on the same street as the Opa Bar where we met last time. If you're coming by train[2] from Bristol follow Manvers St from the train station and you will find North Parade on your right. I'm looking forward to catching up and hearing what everyone has been doing. I really enjoyed listening to everyone's informal lightning talks last time. For those that are thinking of coming and haven't yet - there is no requirement to give a talk - it's totally optional - actually they're not really 'talks' it's more like an informal conversation. This month I want to share with you an idea for a new style of CPAN module and get your feedback. I'd also like to give a quick to report on the 'Moosification' of two large code bases I'm working on - and share what I learnt along the way. What have you been up to? Come along to the next meeting in Bath and tell us. See you there. Although I was interested in film before I joined IMDb, I wouldn't say I was a fanatic by any stretch of the imagination. It's funny how my interest seems to be steadily growing.. you get used to seeing the data, finding out what other people find interesting, you end up getting steadily more engrossed in it all :-) Alex From psykx.out at googlemail.com Fri Oct 17 18:54:27 2008 From: psykx.out at googlemail.com (max psykx) Date: Fri, 17 Oct 2008 18:54:27 +0100 Subject: [BristolBathPM] Next meeting in Bath on Tue 21st, 7pm - Lambretta Bar In-Reply-To: <50fec4060810140241o5d210129hd1a5571adcf5af5f@mail.gmail.com> References: <50fec4060810100335x609fb8b4k6278ba5ef2fd0767@mail.gmail.com> <50fec4060810140241o5d210129hd1a5571adcf5af5f@mail.gmail.com> Message-ID: Can I recommend the raven as a good cozy pub with fantastic ale if you like that kind of thing On 14/10/2008, Nigel Hamilton wrote: > HI Peter, > > > On Fri, 10 Oct 2008 11:35:15 +0100, Nigel Hamilton wrote: >> > Let's have another meeting in Bath this month. I don't have any strong ideas of exactly what that covers except that it should promote what we think is best about the Perl community. And as a huge part of the Perl community (and culture) is Perl Mongers, I wondered if some PM group leaders would be interested in writing the occasional article for the site.
